Temperature controlled from minus 25 degrees F to plus 70 degrees F. For food producers, growers, caterers and cold storage operations across Washington. Ask for a written quote with delivery details.
A refrigerated container, a "reefer" in industry terms, is a standard shipping container with a refrigeration unit integrated into one end wall. It runs continuously or on a set schedule, circulating conditioned air through a raised aluminum T-floor so air can move beneath the stored goods.
Reefers were designed to carry perishable food by sea at a controlled temperature.
Reefers need a 460V 3-phase power connection. If your property does not have 3-phase, a diesel or natural gas generator can run the unit instead. Ask about power options when you request the quote.

Tree fruit packing houses and bin yards through the Yakima and Wenatchee valleys holding apples, cherries and pears between picking and packing.
Wineries and hop operations from Red Mountain and the Horse Heaven Hills to Walla Walla and Lake Chelan needing controlled cold through a short, fixed harvest.
Berry and dairy operations in Whatcom and Skagit counties, where the raspberry and blueberry seasons arrive all at once.
Commercial fishing and shellfish operations at Westport, Bellingham, Blaine and on Hood Canal and Willapa Bay that need cold at the dock rather than a round trip to town.
Caterers, event operators and restaurants across the Puget Sound metro adding walk in capacity in the lot rather than rebuilding the back of house.
Reefer containers plug into a 460V 3-phase, 60Hz supply, the standard for commercial and industrial electrical systems. Commercial, agricultural and industrial properties may already have 3-phase power; confirm what is available at your site.
A qualified electrician can install an outlet at the reefer location. The refrigeration unit draws roughly 7 to 12 kW depending on the set temperature and the ambient conditions.
If the property has no 3-phase supply (for example a rural site, an off-grid location or a temporary event site), a diesel or natural gas generator rated for 3-phase output can run the unit. Generators can be rented from equipment rental companies.
When the ambient temperature climbs, the refrigeration unit works harder to hold its set point. Placing the reefer in shade or under a carport reduces compressor load and running costs through the hottest part of the year.
